Reporting from the 10:00 AM BOT Audit Review Committee Meeting in Blair Hall

wssulogoThis morning, Thursday June 18th, the BOT will be holding a public meeting to discuss the 2007 audit.  Funny thing about that meeting:  They are going into CLOSED SESSION immediately (that’s according to the agenda).

President Bowles and citizens of Winston-Salem, when are the tax payers going to be privy to honest dialogue and information?  This is yet another abuse of “the rules” in order to circumvent the right of the public to know the truth.  If the good folks at the Raleigh News and Observer happen to be reading, please uncover and expose the truth for the people.  The WS Chronicle and WS Journal just won’t do it.

I encourage all of the readers to contact the News and Observer and ask them for their assistance.   If they don’t know about the situation, send them to the Blog and let them see what is happening to your school:

Below are the appropriate emails and samples of their work on NC State:

  1. Does controversy follow Mr.President, [On October 3, 2005, Bowles was elected by the University of North Carolina’s Board of Governors to succeed Molly Corbett Broad as President of the system, even though some suggest that the Board of Governors broke the law in not holding public hearings in the hiring process.]
